Who we are
Our website address is: https://plantbasedescape.com and our company name is Plant Based Escape. We are a travel and food blog based in New Zealand. We are two friends from New Zealand who love to travel, eat and explore the outdoors. We have traveled together through Southeast Asia, and are currently living in New Zealand. Plant Based Escape is all about helping people realize how easy it is to travel vegan, on a budget.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you submit an inquiry through our contact form only the information you provide to us will be keepeg your name and email address. This will be saved for customer service purposes but will not be used or saved in any marking or newsletter lists.

Who we share your data with
No personal data is collected unless you filled out the newsletter sign up form then it is stored with Brevo our newsletter platform and is only used for maketing purposing. This data is keep private and will not be sold.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
If you have subscribed to our newsletter we will store this data untill you unscribe.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

We collect information about visitors who comment our site as we use Akismet anti-spam service. The information we collect includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).
