We’ve reviewed Dosa Kitchen before in our Riverside Market post, but it’s so good we had to mention it again.

This Riverside stall serves vegan dosa plain or masala, stuffed with onion and potato. They also have a vegan curry plate complete with a spicy vegetable curry, creamy dahl, rice and buttered roti. The dosa is hot, crispy and served with chutneys and creamy dips, as well as a small tasty curry on the side. You don’t want to miss out on this great Indian Restaurant in Christchurch!

This Indian Restaurant provides vegans with a separate plant-based menu. We are always excited to see a separate vegan menu. It makes it easy to order without too much hassle! Two Fat Indians use soya pieces as a chicken alternative in their vegan version of butter chicken. This is great if you miss the classic comfort of butter chicken and naan.

If you’re feeling fancy, they also cater for a vegan high tea. This can be booked for lunch or in the afternoon. Serving up hot sliders and sweets to go with a cup of tea of your choice.

29 Sweets Indian Restaurant

29 Sweets has a separate vegan menu with plenty of deliciously spiced dishes. Their menu has a range of street food and curries. There’s heaps of opportunity to try something new. They even do an all-you-can-eat buffet every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, all vegan and vegetarian of course!

This vegan and vegetarian restaurant uses tofu as an alternative to paneer in its main dishes, and you can barely tell the difference! They also serve some of the most delicious and authentic street dishes in Christchurch, easily being one of our favourites.
